Total No.of Fellowship:

Institute Fellowship – 11 full time (Reservation is applicable as per the norms of Government of India)

Fellowships are available in the following depts.: Computer Science and Engineering (02); Electrical Engineering (01); Mathematics (04); Physics (02); Chemistry (02)

Last Date for Receipt of Application Forms: 25th August 2015

Publication of the List of Short Listed Candidates: 30th August 2015

Date of Written Test, Screening & Viva-voice in respective depts.: 03rd – 04th September 2015

Publication of List of Selected Candidates and Waiting List in the Institute Website: 07th September 2015

Admission of Selected Candidates: 08th, 09th, 10th, 11th and 12th September 2015

Start of Research Work / Course Work: 14th September 2015

Eligibility Criteria for NIT Arunachal Pradesh PhD admission test under the Institute Fellowship 2015

M.Tech/M.E in relevant discipline with at least 6.5 CGPA in 10-point scale or 60 percent marks in aggregate in the M.E/ M.Tech level from a recognized technical institute or university

B.Tech/ B.E in relevant discipline with at least 7.0 CGPA or 65 percent marks in aggregate from a recognized technical institute or university

M.Sc in relevant discipline with at least 6.5 CGPA in 10-Point scale or 60 percent marks in aggregate from a recognized institute or university

The minimum CGPA/marks to be relaxed by 0.5 CGPA or 5 percent in case of candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories

GATE /CSIR-UGC NET/DBT Qualified or other admission tests conducted by Govt. of India agencies for admission to PhD Program is mandatory as per MHRD norm for candidates not having M.Tech/M.E degree

For admission to Engineering and Science disciplines (except Life Science), a candidate should have passed Mathematics in +2 Science

Science students admitted to PhD program in Engineering need Mathematics in +3 levels

Selection Procedure for NIT Arunachal Pradesh PhD entrance test 2015:

A short-list of candidates will be posted on Institute website. All shortlisted shall take a written admission test/ viva voce conductedin the concerned department

No admit card will be issued and all information related to admission shall be communicated through thewebsite; the admission test /viva voce shall be conducted in all departments simultaneously as per schedule
