Issue of Application Form: 31st July 2015

Submission of filled-in Application Form: 06th August 2015

Ph.D

Last Date for the Receipt of filled-in-Application form for PhD is 31st July 2015
Courses for M.Phil and Ph.D Program

Subjects: Biochemistry, Tamil, Botany, Maths, Zoology, History, Physics, English, Chemistry, Economics, Computer Science, Commerce, Cooperation, Political Science, Public Administration, Microbiology, Management, Statistics, Biotechnology, Food Processing and Agricultural Science

Duration of M.Phil & Ph.D Programs: Duration of programme is 2 years for M.Phil and 3 to 4 years for PhD programmes

Eligibility for M.Phil and Ph.D Programs: Applicants should have Post Graduation in relevant subject with minimum 55% marks in aggregate

How to Apply for Periyar University Salem MPhil Phd admission 2015

Application forms and prospectus can be obtained from "The Registration, Periyar University, Periyar Palkalai Nagar, Salem-636011

The application fee is Rs.500 for PhD (first application fee for SC/ST/PH) and Rs.300 for M.Phil (first application fee for SC/ST/PH) in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of "The Registrar, Periyar University, Salem-636011"

The payment must be made by Demand Draft from any nationalized bank drawn in favour of "The Registrar, Periyar University, Periyar Palkalai Nagar, Salem payable at Salem. Other modes of payment are not allowed. A self-addressed envelope for Rs.40/- of size 28x13 cm has to be enclosed to get the application by post. Separate request has to be made for each programme

The envelope requesting application form may be superscribed "Request for Application Form for M.Phil/PhD Admission"
Candidates appearing for final semester/year examinations can also apply provided they satisfy the eligibility conditions for admission at the time of joining. SC/ST candidates have to produce the attested copy of PG degree Certificate (or) Provisional Certificate (or) PG mark statements for all the semesters and community Certificate along with the request letter

PhD registration is done only twice a year-July and Decemebr. Application full-time and part-time PhD can be submitted for July session
