Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, New Delhi is an autonomous organisation under Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India invites applications in Diploma in Yoga Science (DYSc) for Graduates, a regular, non-residential course of one-year duration (2 Semesters) for the academic year 2015-16
Eligibility for Diploma in Yoga Science (DYSc) for Graduates:
A graduate from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. However, it will be 40% for SC/ST candidates; 5% weightage, over and above the eligibility marks, will be given to those possessing PG Degree in any subject
Age Limit: Below 30 years as on 01st August 2015 (10 years age relaxation for in-service candidate, who joins the course on deputation through proper channel)
No. of Seats: 115 (GM-58, OBC-31, SC-17 & ST-9). In addition to this, 02 seats are reserved for students from Andaman & Nicobar Islands, 02 for North-East States and 01 for Foreign Student
Selection for Diploma in Yoga Science (DYSc) for Graduates: Will be on merit-cum-reservation on qualifying degree
Scholarship: Rs.3000/- per month to 13 (GM-07, OBC-03, SC-02 & ST-01) meritorious students based on the performance in the first semester examination of DYSc
Fellowship: Rs.8000/- p.m. to 2 students each from Andaman & Nicobar Islands and North-East States
The application of those candidates shall be forwarded by the concerned Health/ AYUSH Deptt. of the States / UT; however, the candidate may send an advance copy of their application to MDNIY
Hostel Fee: A stipend of Rs.3000/- per month per students, in lieu of Hostel accommodation, will be provided on merit to a maximum 23 students in batch, who hail from the state other Delhi and NCR (conditions apply)
How to Apply for Diploma in Yoga Science (DYSc) for Graduates:
The Application Form and Admission Brochure can be obtained from the office of MDNIY from 10.00 am to 05.00 pm on any working day from 24th July 2015 on payment of Rs.500/- in Cash/Demand Draft of any Nationalised Bank in favour of Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, payable at New Delhi
The admission brochure can also be obtained by post also on a payment of Rs.600/- by demand draft only. Application form and admission brochure can also be downloaded from website www.yogamdniy.nic.in, which may be submitted alongwith Demand Draft of Rs.500/-
The last date for receipt of duly filled-in applications in the office of MDNIY is 14th August 2015 (Friday) and for the candidates of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and North-East States is 21st August 2015 (Friday)
