University of Mysore announces BArch Admission 2015

Applications are invited by the School of Design, University of Mysore for admission to the following course for the academic year 2015-16

Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch)

Qualifying exam:

12th Standard/Pre-university course or equivalent with Minimum 50% or above, 45% or above for OBC, SC/ST (Maths and English compulsory) (or);

10+3 Diploma (Architecture, Civil & Interior Design) or equivalent recognised by Central/State Governments with minimum 50% aggregate marks (or);

International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of exam (or);

Diploma in Interior Design (completed at The University School of Design, University of Mysore (UOM) only with minimum 50% aggregate marks (course is discontinued from academic year 2013-14, admission only for students admitted till academic year 2012-13)
Aptitude Test

a) National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA) conducted by "Council of Architecture" through academic unit "National Institute of Advanced studies in Architecture" (NIASA) with Min 40% (as per prevalent NATA regulation)

b) Any other Aptitude Test approved by Human Resource Department (HRD) Ministry, GOI

Mode of Admission: Aptitude Test (NATA minimum marks 80/200)
Criteria for Selection:

i. 50% of Qualifying Examination (Aggregate)
ii. 50% of Aptitude Test (NATA)

Course duration: 5 year (10 Semester)

Reservation: Reservation of all categories for all the courses will be applicable as per rules of State Govt./Govt of India

1) NATA-National Aptitude Test in Architecture

The University School of Design is a test centre for NATA (For details visit www.nata.in)

2) Weightage for preparing Merit List (i) 50% (Qualifying Exam-Aggregate), (ii) 50% (NATA)

3) Documents: Attested copies - 10th standard marks card, Qualifying exam marks card, NATA score card & Reservation documents-if any

4) List of candidates from registered waiting list will be announced depending on the number of seats vacant in the previous merit list

Announcement of consolidated list of candidates, selected list and waiting list of candidates: 29th June 2015 at 12.00 Noon
Admission of candidates from selected list:  01st - 3rd July 2015 (between 10.00 am to 04.00 pm)
Registration of Candidates from waiting list: 06th July 2015 (between 09.00 am to 11.00)
Selection of candidates from waiting list: 06th July 2015 at 02.00 pm
Admission of candidates from waiting list: 06th July 2015 at 02.30 pm
Commencement of the Semester: 20th July 2015 (form 10.30 onwards)
