Alagappa University announces MPhil Admissions 2015

Applications have been invited by Alagappa University, Karaikudi, for admission to the following M.Phil (Full-Time) programs offered in the following University Departments for 2015-16

Regular M.Phil Programmes offered
M.Phil in Tamil, English, Women’s Studies, Economics, Library & Information Science, Education, Physical Education, Commerce, International Business, Management, Bank Management, Corporate Secretaryship, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Nano Science Technology, Bioelectronics, Oceanography Coastal Area studies, Zoology; PG Diploma in Structural Pharmacogenomics

Eligibility Criteria: Minimum marks in the qualifying degree for eligibility for admission is 50% of marks for SC/ST/Physically/Visually differently-abled, 55% of marks for all others

Candidates without minimum marks are not eligible to apply
Entrance Exam at A.U., Karaikudi

Entrance examination in Multiple Choice Questions Pattern will be held on the prescribed date for all M.Phil programs offered by the university

All candidates whose applications are in order will have to take the entrance examination which will be conducted in the University premises in Karaikudi

Selection Procedure: Selection will be based on the marks obtained in the entrance examinations and qualifying degree; the provisionally selected candidates will be intimated by post

Applications can be obtained from the Registrar, Alagappa University, Karaikudi-630003 on payment of the cost of the application, Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- SC/ST candidates (on production of attested copy of Community Certificate) through a crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of "The Registrar, Alagappa University", payable at Karaikudi as follows:

Applications can be had in person or through post; for postal mode, the requisition letter and course of study with applicable demand draft must be accompanied

Applications form can also be downloaded from the website www.alagappauniversity.ac.in and shall enclose the demand draft for Rs.500/- for others, Rs.250/- for SC/ST candidates

The candidates should submit the filled in application form with necessary certificates to "The Registrar, Alagappa University", Karaikudi during the office hours 10.00 am to 05.45 pm or by post before the stipulated date

Hall Tickets will be issued by the University
