About ICREME : The emerging Indian Economy is demanding professionals to administer business these days. Acquiring an MBA degree is the trend that is flourishing from 15 years. Today there are 1250 B schools, 506 Universities, 14 Open Universities and 29,860 colleges that providing management education in India. Around 1, 25,000 regular students and around 1 lakh students are getting their MBA degree through distance mode every year. 2 years course with various specializations and 1 year executive MBA courses are very much popular. The management education must provide the subject knowledge, practical exposure to the industrial environment and an opportunity to apply the concepts in to practice (through projects) along with personality development trainings. But there is a mismatch between industry demand and knowledge imparted by management institutions. The quality of education rendered by these institutions varies a lot. On one hand we have IIM at par with foreign prestigious institutions whose final year student would have placement and on the other hand we have institutions which charge exorbitant fees without any value addition to the students.

The management education however is experiencing a recession these days following economic recession. Consequently the dreams of management graduates are being shattered. In an endeavor to reengineering the management education, the conference assumes greater importance. The Department of Management and commerce of KSOU is putting a sincere effort to create awareness in the minds of teachers, researchers, scholars, professionals and industrialist about the reengineering process in management education. This effort will be made by conducting two day’s international conference by inviting the said persons across the country and from other countries.
