Introduction: This one year correspondence diploma course is likely to benefit fresh graduates from Universities desiring specialization in this subject and will also be useful to those who are working in various Ministries and Public and private Sector enterprises involved with transportation ,freight forwarding, cargo handling, customs house agents, shippers, containers and those dealing with logistic management.

Course Details: This course consists of the following eight modules:
1. Concept of Multi-Modal transport
2. Physical infrastructure for Multi-Modal Transport
3. Transport Documentation & Liabilities
4. Cargo and liability Insurance
5. Commercial aspects of Multi-Modal Transport
6. Cargo and Container Handling
7. Information Technology in Transport Management
8. India’s Growing Conflict between Trade & Transport

Eligibility: Candidates having a Bachelor’s Degree or a Diploma in any Engineering Discipline from a recognized University/Institute are eligible.
Duration: The duration of the course is one year, from April every year.

Course Fee: Multi-Modal Transport (Containerisation) & Logistics Management are Rs. 3000/- (Rupees three thousand only) with Contact Classes and Rs. 2200/- (Rupees two thousand two hundred only) without the Contact Classes.

Selection Procedure: All the lessons are printed in Hindi and English and sent to the candidates by post.

Recognization: These two diploma courses have also been recognized by the Ministry of Railways as additional desirable qualification for requirement to the posts in the Commercial, Operating, Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering Departments.
