Candidates should have M.Sc in Marine Science or equivalent passed/ appeared

Reservation will be followed as per the West Bengal Higher Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Rules 2013 (i.e . Unreserved-05, SC-02, ST-01, OBC-A -01 & OBC-B -01)

Selection Procedure for University of Calcutta Marine Science Ph.D Admission 2015

Selection of candidates will be based upon their performance in the admission test and interview conducted by the institute

Those candidates who have already passed NET/SLET/M.Phil/Teacher Fellowship or equivalent examinations are exempted from the Admission Test; however, they have to qualify in the interview
How to Apply for University of Calcutta PhD admissions 2015 :

Candidates should apply in the prescribed Performa by paying Rs.100/- in the University Cash Counter (as application fee for Ph.D admission) through a challan obtainable from the Cash Counter at Calcutta University duly forwarded by the Head of the Department or his representative

SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying fees
