RBI Recruitment Notification 2015 for 504 Assistant Jobs

The Reserve Bank of India invites applications from eligible candidates for 504 Posts of "Assistant" in various offices of the Bank. Selection for the post will be through a country-wide competitive Online Examination and Interview

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Recruitment 2015 Vacancy Details:

Name of the Post: Assistant

Total no. of Vacancies: 504 (Ahmedabad - 30, Bangalore - 40, Bhopal - 10, Bhubaneswar - 20,  Chandigarh - 35, Chennai - 31, Guwahati - 10, Hyderabad - 30, Jaipur - 30 Jammu - 10, Kanpur & Lucknow -  40, Kolkata - 30, Mumbai - 81, Nagpur - 25 , New Delhi - 27, Patna - 25, Thiruvananthapuram & Kochi - 30)
Eligibility Criteria for RBI Assistant 2015

Age: Candidate’s age should be 18 and 28 years as on 01st June 2015. Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02nd June 1987 and not later than 01st June 1997 (both days including) are only eligible to apply. Age relaxation as per rules.
Relaxation in the Upper Age Limit:

i. SC/ST: By 5 years, i.e. up to 33 years

ii. Other Backward Classes (OBC): By 3 years, i.e. up to 31 years

iii. Persons with Disabilities (PWD): By 10 years (GEN) 13 years (OBC) & 15 years (SC/ST)

iv. Ex-Servicemen: To the extent of service rendered by them in Armed Forces plus an additional period of 3years subject to maximum of 50 years

v. Widows/divorced women/ women judicially separated who are not re-married: By 10 years

vi. Candidates domiciled in the state of J&K during the period from 1st Jan.1980 to 31st Dec-1989 - By 5 years

vii. Candidates having work experience in RBI: To the extent of number of years of such experience, subject to maximum of 3 years
Educational Qualifications (as on 03rd July 2015):

At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on PC

A candidate belonging to Ex-servicemen category (except dependants of ex-servicemen) should either be a graduate from a recognized University or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination of the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of defence service

Candidates applying for post in a particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language (i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/ any of the states falling under the recruiting office
Scheme of Selection for RBI Recruitment 2015

Selection of the eligible candidates will be based on through the Written Exam followed by Personal Interview test. Written test will be held online from the eligible candidate. The online test will b carry 200 marks
i. Test of Reasoning:  40 Questions, Maximum Marks: 40
ii. Test of English Language: 40 Questions, Maximum Marks: 40
iii. Test of Numerical Ability: 40 Questions, Maximum Marks: 40
iv. Test of General Awareness: 40 Questions, Maximum Marks: 40
v. Test of Computer Knowledge: 40 Questions, Maximum Marks: 40

Total 2 Hours time duration will be given for attempting the question paper

i) The above tests except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi
ii) A candidate has to qualify in each part of the Objective test separately. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer
Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests
iii) Other detailed information regarding the examination will be given in an Information Handout, which will be made available for the candidates to download along with the call letter for exam from the RBI’s website
iv) Roll No. of the candidates successful in online examination will be available on RBI’s website and a brief notice thereof will be published in leading newspapers in last week of August 2015
v) Only such number of candidates will be called for interview who stand sufficiently high in merit on the aggregate marks of the Objective Tests, such merit being decided by the Bank in relation to the number of vacancies to be filled in
vi) Final selection will be on the basis of candidate's performance in the online exam and interview taken together in order of merit
Exam Centres:

The exam will be conducted online in venues across many centres in India; the tentative list of exam centres is available in Annexure-III

RBI however, reserves the right to cancel any of the Exam Centres and/ or add some other Centres, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc

As far as possible candidates will be allotted to a centre of his/her choice; however, RBI also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any centre other than the one he/she has opted for and a candidate may be allocated a centre of exam outside the State/UT for which vacancies he/she is applying
Pay Scale of the RBI Assistant:

Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of Rs.8860/- per month (i.e. Rs.8040/- plus two advance increments admissible to graduates only) in the scale of Rs.8040-410-9270-500-11-270-550-13,470-650-15,420-720-16,140-990-20, 100 (20 years) and other allowances, viz. Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc., as admissible from time to time

At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments for Assistants is approximately Rs 22546/-
How to Apply for RBI Assistant Post 2015

Interested candidates are required to do online registration on the official website of RBI (www.rbi.org.in)

Online application form submission has been started from 12th June 2015; all interested candidates can fill application form till the last 03rd July 2015

Candidates to go to the RBI website www.rbi.org.in and click on the option Apply Online which will open a new screen
Pre-Requisites for Applying Online:

i) Before applying online, candidates should scan their photograph and signature ensuring that both the photograph and signature adhere to the required specifications as given in Annex I to this Advertisement
ii) The candidates should keep the necessary details/documents ready if desired to make online payment of the requisite application fee
iii) In case of Offline Payment i.e. CBS (specified bank branches), candidates have to apply online, obtain a fee payment Challan and then remit the necessary application fees
iv) The candidates should have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the declaration of results of this recruitment process. RBI may send intimation about downloading call letters through e mail and SMS. Under no circumstances, a candidate should share with/mention e-mail ID to / of any other person. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID before applying on-line and must maintain that email account

Application Fees/Intimation Charges (Non- Refundable): Payable from 12th June 2015 to 03rd July 2015 (Online payment)

Rs.50/- for SC/ST/PWD/EXS. (Intimation Charges)

Rs.450/- for OBC/General candidates (Examination fee+ Intimation Charges)

Staff candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee and intimation charges. Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment of application fees/intimation charges will have to be borne by the candidate
Procedure for Applying Online:

Candidates are first required to go to Home Page of the RBI website www.rbi.org.in and click on the link “Recruitment for the post of Assistant” to open the On-Line Application Form

Candidates will have to enter their basic details and upload the photograph and signature in the online application form

Candidates are required to upload their photograph and signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature
Payment of fees via the Online Mode:

Candidates should carefully fill in the details in the Onine Application at the appropriate places very carefully and click on the “Submit” button at the end of the On-Line Application format

Before pressing the “SUBMIT” button, candidates are advised to verify every field filled in the application

The name of the candidate or his /her father/husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the certificates/mark sheets. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature

The application form is integrated with the payment gateway and the payment process can be completed by following the instructions

The payment can be made by using only Master/ Visa Debit or Credit Cards or Internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen

In case candidates wish to pay fees through the online payment gateway after the upload of photograph and signature an additional page of the application form is displayed wherein candidates may follow the instructions and fill in the requisite details

If the online transaction has been successfully completed a Registration Number and Password will be generated. Candidates should note their Registration Number and Password for future reference

If the online transaction has not been successfully completed then the following message is displayed ‘Your online transaction was unsuccessful. Please register again’ Candidates may then revisit the ‘Apply Online’ link and fill in their application details again

On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated.  Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-receipt.

Amount of fees debited for unsuccessful transaction will be refunded to the candidate’s account in due course; to ensure the security of your data, please close the browser window once your transaction is completed

Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-Receipt and online Application Form. Please note that if the same cannot be generated, online transaction may not have been successful
