Courses Offered and Seats Available
3 year LL.B Semesters Course (80 Seats)
2 year PGDRI and PM Course (80 Seats)
Eligibility Criteria:
LLB Course (Semester System): The minimum eligibility for admission for 3 year LLB Semester course is a Bachelor degree or any other degree considered by the Sambalpur University as equivalent thereto in any discipline with at least 45% of marks in aggregate
In case of SC/ST candidate minimum eligibility is 40% mark in the aggregate in the qualifying Bachelor’s degree
A candidate having Master degree in Arts, Science, Commerce or any other discipline shall be given weight age of 2% of marks of aggregate in the qualifying exam only for the purpose of preparing the merit list
PGDIR & PM Course: A Bachelor degree in Arts, Science, Commerce or any other degree considered by the Sambalpur University as equivalent thereto with at least 40% of marks in the aggregate
Reservation of Seats:
Twelve and Eight percent of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to ST/ST respectively. Provided that they submit a true copy of caste certificate duly attested by a gazetted officer with the application form for admission 3% seat will be reserved for physically handicapped candidates
How to Apply
Application Form and Prospectus for Admission into the above courses will be available in the college office from 1st June 2015 on all working days between 08.00 am to 11.00 am (for Morning Office) and 11.30 am to 01.30 pm (for Day office) on payment Rs.300/- and Rs.200/- respectively or can be downloaded from the website www.suniv.ac.in or can also be obtained by Registered Post on Payment of an additional amount of Rs.50/-
Downloaded form should accompany a bank draft with requisite fee drawn in favour of “The Principal, L.R. Law College, Sambalpur” payable at Sambalpur in any Nationalised Bank
Forms can also be obtained by Registered post if the request is accompanied by a crossed Bank Draft of any Nationalized Bank for the amount indicated below drawn in favour of the Principal, LR Law College, Sambalpur, payable at Sambalpur along with a self addressed A-4 size envelope
Candidates can also download the application form from the University website www.suniv.ac.in while sending completed downloaded application Account Payee bank draft of any Nationalised Bank for the amount as it is indicated in the advt. towards the cost of the application
The applicant should check the following before submission / dispatch his/her application:
a) The applicant must mention in capital letters at the top right hand corner on the front page of application whether he/she belongs to SC/ST/Physically handicapped or any other reserved category
b) The undertaking forms should be duly filled in and signed by the applicant and his/her father or natural guardian
c) The Index card should bear the full postal address of the applicant written legibly on it and postal stamp worth Rs.6/- should be affixed on it
d) Attested copies of mark sheets and certificates of all exams starting from HSC should be submitted along with the form
e) The original cash receipt showing the purchase of form or in case of forms obtained by post a Xerox copy of the Bank Draft should be enclosed
f) An attested copy of the certificate from the C.D.M.O regarding his/her disability for 50% or more in case of physically handicapped candidates
g) Attested copies of certificates obtained from competent authority must be submitted in case of candidates claiming concession towards reservation; in respect of SC/ST candidates from a Revenue Officer not below the rank of a Deputy Collector in absence of which the candidate will not be eligible to get concession allowed to SC/ST candidates
h) 4 copies of passport size colour photographs taken within 2 months with the candidate’s signature on the back side of the photograph
i) A self addressed envelope for mailing intimation
The last date of issue and submission of Admission application form is: 25th June 2015
