Govt. of Kerala DTE notifies PG in Engineering Admissions 2015

Post Graduate Degree Courses in Engineering are being offered to the graduates in Engineering, in various Engineering Colleges in the state for awarding Masters Degree in the appropriate branches by the Universities concerned

The course shall extent over a period of 24 months consisting of 4 Semesters
Institutions & Intake

Institutions offering PG Course in various disciplines towards which allotment will be done and the intake are given in the Annexure A&B

For the PG Courses in the Private Self Financing Engg Colleges in the State, a rank list will be published from among the applicants and admission will be done to the 50% seats by institutions themselves from the rank list, by inviting separate applications
Eligibility Criteria for Government of Kerala PG Degree Admission 2015

The candidates shall be an Indian National

The candidates should have studied the Graduate course in an institution approved by the AICTE/Deemed Universities in India

Candidates should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the Engg Degree Exam. For SC/ST candidates a pass in the Engineering Degree course is sufficient; for SEBC (OBC) students, a minimum of 54% aggregate marks in the engineering degree exam is mandatory

Candidates, who have passed AMIE/AMIETE Examinations and satisfying the following conditions, are eligible for admission

They must have valid GATE score

A minimum of 55% marks for section B in AMIE/AMIETE Exam

Minimum three years of Professional experience in the field of Specialization after acquiring the qualifying degree

Candidates who have appeared for the final semester examination can also apply, provided he/she has passed all the subjects up to and including the 6th semester exam (8th Sem. for B.Arch students)

Those who are having valid Gate score and who are waiting for the result of the supplementary examinations of the above or previous semesters can also apply

Confirmation of admission of such candidates shall be subject to the production of qualifying degree satisfying clauses on or before 30th September 2015
Reservation of Seats:

a) 5% Seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC). Candidates belonging to SEBC (OBC) and OEC should produce a certificate to the extent that the candidate belongs to the community which is designated as an SEBC (OBC) / OEC and does not belong to the category of Creamy Laye
b) 15% Seats are reserved for SC/ST Candidates
c) The seats reserved for each category will be distributed among the eligible communities by observing the pattern of general reservation rules of the state
d) 3% seats are reserved for physically handicapped candidates
e) 15% seats relating to management quota in TKM College of Engg., Kollam, MA College of Engg., Kothamangalam & NSS College of Engg, Palakkad will be filled by the Mgmt (for courses in Annex.-A)
How to Apply for Government of Kerala PG Degree Admission 2015

Applications should be filled online logging on to the website www.cet.ac.in or www.dtekerala.gov.in

The different entries in the application are to be filled with extreme care, as this information is used for preparing the rank list

After submitting the application online, an application fee of Rs.500/- (Rs.100/- in case of SC/ST Candidates) is to be remitted in any specified branch of State Bank of Travancore with chalan generated on submission of the application

A printout of the filled up application should be taken and sent with copies of the necessary documents, to the Principal, College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram-695016

Last date for Receipt of Printed Application Form: 20th June 2015
Date of Publishing Rank List: 03rd July 2015
First Allotment: 09th July 2015
Date of Remittance of Fee: 10th July to 13th July 2015
Second Allotment: 21st July 2015
Date of Remittance of Fee: 22nd to 24th July 2015
Third Allotment: 03rd August 2015
Date of Remittance of Fee: 04th - 5th August 2015
Date of Joining: 05th to 10th August 2015
Date of Receipt of Non-join report in CET: 12th August 2015
Commencement of Classes: 10th August 2015
