Dibrugarh University announces Integrated LLB Admission 2015

Applications in prescribed forms are invited from the eligible candidates for admission into the following Academic Programmes conducted by Centre for Juridical Studies (CJS), Dibrugarh University for the session 2015-16

Presently, the Centre for Juridical Studies is imparting BA-LL.B (Honours) and LL.M Full Time Programmes

For admission into B.A.LLB (H) & Master of Laws (LL.M) Full Time Programme, the intending applicants have to fill up application forms available at University website www.dibru.ac.in

B.A.LL.B (Hons): 60 Seats

LL.M: 40 Seats
Eligibility Criteria for DU Law Admission

5 year Integrated BA-LLB (Hons): A candidates for admission to the Five-Year BA.LLB (Hons) course shall have passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or an equivalent examination securing at least 45% in aggregate of the total marks

Provided that there shall be a relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates

LL.M Program: A candidate to take admission into LLM course must have 50% marks in aggregate in 3 year LLB or 5 year BA-LLB (Hons) Course recognized by University Grants Commission and Bar Council of India (BCI)

The candidates appearing in final year examination of the aforesaid Programmes may also apply but at the time of admission they must produce the mark sheet and certificate in original
Selection Procedure

The admission to the aforesaid programmes will be made on merit basis through an Admission Test to be conducted by the University; admission cannot be claimed by any applicant as a matter of right

On being selected for admission, the applicant has to appear before admission committee at the Centre for Juridical Studies, Dibrugarh University with all original certificates, mark sheets and other requirements on scheduled date and time
How to Apply

For admission into B.A LL.B (H) and Master of Laws (LLM) Full time programme, the intending applicants have to fill up application forms available at University Website www.dibru.ac.in

The application forms are also available at the office of Centre for Juridical Studies, D.U Dibrugarh

The application forms, accompanied by Bank Demand Draft in favour of ‘Registrar, Dibrugarh University’ payable at Punjab National Bank, Dibrugarh University Branch, Dibrugarh /Bank receipt Account No PNB A/C: 0157002100032540 (Code: PNBO 994000) of the Punjab National Bank in the prescribed format available in the University Website, may be submitted by hand in the Office of Centre for Juridical Studies, Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh or sent through Registered post/Speed post/Courier to "The Director, Centre for Juridical Studies, Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh (Assam), PIN Code-786004"

The filled in Application forms with required documents and Bank Demand Draft /Bank receipt should reach on or before 03.00 pm on 12th June 2015 for BA LLB (H) and 25th June 2015 for LL.M

In any case, the University will not be responsible for any postal delay, damage or loss

Documents required at the time of Admission: The candidates selected are required to produce the following documents in original at the time of admission failing which he/she will not be allowed to take admission:

i. Admit Card of Admission Test
ii. Mark Sheets of class 10, 10+2, LL.B./B.A.-B.Sc.-B.Com., BBA.-LL.B (if applicable)
iii. Certificates of class 10, 10+2, LLB/BA-B.Sc-B.Com, BBA-LLB (if applicable)
iv. Transfer Certificate (if applicable); e) Migration Certificate (to be produced within one year of admission)
v. Caste certificate, if applicable
vi. Affidavit regarding no ragging (to be submitted within one week of admission)
