Appointed Director of IGNOU

Senior Regional Director, IGNOU, New Delhi, V. Venugopal Reddy, has been appointed Director of Regional Services Division (RSD), IGNOU, New Delhi, for a term of three years from May 2015 to May 2018.

Dr. Venugopal Reddy is the first person from Andhra Pradesh to be appointed Director of the largest division that comprises 67 Regional Centres and more than 3,000 Learner Support Centres spread across the length and breadth of the country.

Dr. Venugopal Reddy joined IGNOU in 1987 and worked in different capacities as faculty, Assistant Director, Deputy Director, Regional Director, Senior Regional Director, and Director of Research Unit during the last 28 years. He has rich experience in course design and development and specialises in retail marketing. He is instrumental in launching the BBA Degree in Retailing.
