5TH TACEM INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE 2010 – IIT – KHARAGPUR

Mechanics is am area common to many disciplines of science and engineering and has made tremendous strides in recent years. ICTACEM Conference is aimed at bringing together academicians and researchers working in various disciplines of mechanics to exchange views as well as to share knowledge between people from different parts of the globe. The Conference will be held during December 27 – 29, 2010 at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. It will be composed of plenary and technical sessions. A number of world renowned academicians and researchers will deliver keynote and invited addresses.

Reunion : Department of Aerospace Engineering at IIT Kharagpur started conferring degrees from the year 1967 and its graduates have now spanned over the entire globe, occupying prestigious positions in various organization related to Aerospace Engineering. The Reunion of the Aerospace Engineering graduates will be organized. This Reunion will be organized along with the 5th ICTACEM to be held during the
period 27-29, Dec ‘2010 at IIT kharagpur.

Themes : The conference will focus on current research trends in all disciplines of mechanics including interdisciplinary areas. The special emphasis will be given on Composite and Smart Structures. Other topics will include (but not limited to):
Aerodynamics / AI and Expert Systems / Biomechanics / Classical Mechanics / Composite Materials and Structure / Computational Mechanics / Computational Methods / Damage Mechanics / Fluid Mechanics / Fracture Mechanics / Functionally Graded Materials / Fuzzy Logic, Genetic Algorithms and Neural Networks / Geomechanics / Hydrodynamics / Modelling and Simulation / Nanomechanics / Nonlinear Mechanics / Optimisation / Seepage Flow / Smart Materials, Structures and Systems / Space/Orbital Mechanics / Stochastic Mechanics / Structural Dynamics / Terramechanics / Thermomechanics / Uncertainity Quantification.

Call For Papers : Authors are invited to SUBMIT ONLINE extended abstracts (maximum three pages) of their papers indicating clearly the summary of the aims, methods of analysis, results and conclusions. The official language for the conference is English. The final acceptance of a paper will be based on the review of the extended abstract and will be available as list of Accepted Papers on the website. Instructions for preparation of extended abstract and the full length paper are available as separate links on the website (MS Word Version / Adobe PDF Version).

1. Preliminary Registration with Extended Abstract Submission (online): May 31, 2010.
2. Extended Abstract Acceptance Notification: August 31, 2010.
3. Final (Full) Paper Submission (online): October 31, 2010.
4. Registration Deadline (payment of registration fees): October 31, 2010.
5. Conference dates: December 27 – 29, 2010.

1. ONLINE : Conference Pre-Registration Form should be submitted online along with electronic version of the extended abstract before May 31, 2010.
2. Conference Registration Form which can be downloaded from http://www.ictacem.iitkgp.ernet.in/ should be sent by post before October 31, 2010 along with the Registration fee.
