MSRSAS – AUTOMOTIVE POWER TRAIN NATIONAL CONFERENCE 2010 – BANGALORE

Global warming, stringent emission norms, rising price of oil, demand for better ride and handling, and stability and occupant safety have made automotive industry to continuously invest on research, particularly on automotive power train. Contrary to popular belief that the automotive power train research has saturated, the achievements are halfway to reach the perfection.

National Conference on Automotive Power Train (NCAPT) will provide a common platform for practicing automotive engineers, researchers, academicians and students to review cutting edge technology adopted in automotive power train. The aim of the conference is to disseminate contemporary knowledge and design methodologies adopted in the development of power train. In addition, it motivates engineers to develop innovative methods for further enhancing the performance of power train. This conference is being organised by M.S. Ramaiah School of Advanced Studies (MSRSAS), Bangalore, well known for its industry and business oriented postgraduate courses.

* Technical paper presentation from practicing engineers and researchers
* Panel discussion by eminent speakers
* Product exhibition by leading automotive companies
* Student project competition and exposition
Technical Paper Presentations and Poster Displays: Technical papers are invited from industry and academia in the selected topics. All papers will be reviewed by an expert panel and about 40 oral presentations and 20 poster displays will be selected. All orally presented papers will be published in full length form in a DVD along with one page abstract of posters. Printed copy of abstracts of all papers including posters will also be provided.

Student Project Competition and Exposition: Entries are invited from graduate and postgraduate engineering students to participate in National Level Project Work Competition and Exposition. Graduate and postgraduate engineering students who have passed out or passing out during 2010 can take part in this mega event. About 40 good projects in the field of Mechanical Engineering (including Automotive and Manufacturing Engineering) and Electronics (including Computer Science and Engineering) will be selected for display in the exposition. A panel of experts will evaluate the project works under display and cash prizes will be awarded for the best projects.

UG Best Project (Mechanical Stream): Rs. 25,000
UG Best Project (Electronics Stream): Rs. 25,000
PG Best Project (Mechanical Stream): Rs. 25,000
PG Best Project (Electronics Stream): Rs. 25,000
All projects selected for display will be issued the participation and appreciation certificates.

Industrial Participation and Sponsorship: All automotive industries and corporate in India are invited to participate in this conference and are requested to sponsor the events. Sponsored industries will be provided with opportunity to display their products in the exposition and carry out product familarisation campaign.

Product Exhibition: Product exhibition from companies has been arranged. Each exhibitor will be provided with a stall of 10X10 sq ft with necessary electrical points. Interested companies are requested to contact the organisers for further details.
