Soft computing is a new multidisciplinary field that was proposed by Dr. Lotfi Zadeh, whose goal was to construct new generation Artificial Intelligence, known as Computational Intelligence. Zadeh defined Soft Computing in its latest incarnation as the fusion of the fields of Fuzzy Logic, Neuro-computing, Evolutionary and Genetic Computing, and Probabilistic Computing into one multidisciplinary system.
Soft computing provides rapid dissemination of important results in soft computing technologies, a fusion of research in evolutionary algorithms and genetic programming, neural science and neural net systems, fuzzy set theory and fuzzy systems, and chaos theory and chaotic systems. Even though so many people in India are working in this area, little bit effort is taking place to connect these people. The main objective of this seminar is to bring the researchers in this specified area together and interact with them. This will help us to get more idea about the current research trend and develop some applications which the society really requires.
