Applications are invited for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programmes of the Institute commencing from July 2010.
Eligibility:
(a) Engineering: M.Tech./M.E./M.Sc.(Engineering) degree with first class or equivalent in the respective or allied areas. Candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Master’s degree in Sciences in an allied area with exceptional academic record and possessing a valid GATE score may also apply.
(b) Sciences & LA: M.Sc./M.A. degree with first class or equivalent in respective or allied areas with a valid GATE/UGC Net/CSIR JRF/NBHM score.
Reservation:
15% seats are reserved for SC candidates, 7.5% for ST and 27% for OBC. Also, up to 3% of seats are reserved for persons with physical disability (PD) in each category as per Government of India rules.

How To Apply: Download the application form from www.iith.ac.in and after duly filling it send as an email attachment to phd_2010_applications@iith.ac.in on or before 20 April 2010. Candidates desirous of applying for more than one PhD program must apply separately for each program. There will be an application fee of Rs.200/- for General/OBC category and Rs.100/- for SC/ST category. A demand draft in the name of “Registrar IIT Hyderabad” Payable at SBI, KANDI branch
