IISST – PH.D ADMISSION 2010 – KERALA

Master’s degree in the relevant area with first class or equivalent. However, outstanding candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with an excellent academic record and aptitude for research may be considered for direct admission to the Ph.D. Programme.

Age Limit: Applicant should be below 28 Yrs as on 1-1-2010

Nationality: Applicant should be an Indian citizen.

Application Procedure: Application form can be downloaded from IIST website www.iist.ac.in. Duly filled application form along with attested copies of documents mentioned in the application form should be sent to The Administrative Officer, IIST, VSSC Campus, ISRO Post, and Thiruvananthapuram – 695022 with the superscription “Application for IIST Ph.D. Programme”. Application form should be accompanied by a fee of Rs. 250/- in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Registrar, IIST payable at SBI, Thiruvananthapuram.
Eligibility: Admission to IIST is open only for Indian Nationals. Admission to IIST will be based on the ranks obtained by candidates in IIT-JEE 2009. The following candidates are eligible for online Registration :
i) Candidates placed in the primary Merit List of IIT-JEE 2009.
ii) The non-general candidates placed in the Extended Merit List of IIT-JEE 2009.
iii) The General Candidates in the Extended Merit List of IIT-JEE 2009 whose ranks are less than or equal to E10000.
iv) SC and ST placed in the Preparatory List of IIT-JEE 2009.
