UK – OXFORD UNIVERSITY – SWFS ENTREPRENEURSHIP 2010

The Skoll World Forum on Social Entrepreneurship accelerates the impact of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs by uniting them with essential partners in a collaborative pursuit of learning, leverage and large scale social change. The Skoll World Forum is the premier gathering of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs. Prominent figures from the social, academic, finance, corporate and policy sectors engage for three days and nights in a series of debates, discussions and work sessions focused on accelerating, innovating and scaling solutions to some of the world’s most pressing social issues.

Event Details: Social Entrepreneurship is about solutions and transformations that will benefit individuals, communities and, ultimately, society at large. It is the application of entrepreneurial characteristics – innovation, leadership, tenacity, risk-taking and vision – to achieve economic, social and environmental, rather than financial, objectives. Tackling complex challenges from the ground up, social entrepreneurs work in areas such as climate change, sustainable business, public health, education for the poor, human rights, conflict, water scarcity. Social entrepreneurs are at the forefront of a growing movement to scale-up postive, sustainable change.
Eligibility: Social entrepreneurs, social investors, and thought leaders from all sectors.

Event Date & Venue: 14th – 16th April, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
