IIM Bangalore ranked Best B-School in India

Bangalore: According to the 2009 worldwide business school ranking carried out by Eduniversal, a unit of the French consulting firm SMBG, the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B), has for the second consecutive year, been recognized as the number one Business School in India.

IIM-B has been awarded with the highest recognition of '5 Palmes' during the Eduniversal Palmes 2009, accorded to 'Universal Business Schools with major international influence'.

The award brings the IIM-B right on the top amongst the best 100 business schools worldwide.

It has been a phenomenal achievement for the institute with almost 1000 Deans of reputed business schools from 153 countries voting for it at a recommendation rate of 395 per thousand, which is followed by IIM Ahmedabad at 345.

The evaluation strategy of the Eduniversal Palmes has a wide-ranging methodology to follow. It takes into account all the aspects of the business schools based on its three level strategy.

The levels are international recognition through accreditations, memberships and international, regional and local rankings; international awareness through the votes of the 1,000 deans; and suggestions from the members of the International Scientific Committee appointed by Eduniversal.
