IGNOU B.Ed Letter of Admission RC Trivandrum – 2010

We have the pleasure to inform you that you have been provisionally selected for counselling session leading to admission to our B.Ed. Programme commencing January 2010. We congratulate you for the success and welcome you to this Mega University. The position (rank/ marks), Category (SC/ ST/ PH/ War Widow/ Kashmiri Migrant/ OBC (NCL/CL)/ General), under which you have been selected and the date & time of counselling is mentioned in the address label at the bottom of this letter.

“You should note that this offer of admission is provisional and is based on the documents of qualification and experiences submitted by you along with the application form. If at a later stage, it is found that the document(s) submitted by you is/are false, your admission shall stand cancelled forthwith and no fee refund will be admissible in the event of such cancellation of admission.”

We strongly advise you not to take any chance of giving false information or submitting forged/fake document(s) in support of your qualification and experiences. If at any stage the same is/are detected, not only your admission will be cancelled forthwith, but also you may face legal action.

You are advised to come in person at your own cost without fail to IGNOU Regional Centre, Mepram Mansion, Chekkalamukku, Sreekariyam, Trivandrum – 695 017, Kerala (Land Mark: Near Leela Kalyana Mandapam and Mitoos Medicals). Request for change of date and time for attending the counselling at Regional Centre will not be entertained under any circumstances. You are also requested to bring the Programme Fee of Rs.17,400/- in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of “IGNOU” Payable at Trivandrum from one of the nationalized banks.
All columns in the acceptance forms (Annexure-1) should be filled-in with relevant details, besides filling Annexure 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B. You should bring all the documents listed in Annexure-4 in original along with the attested copies, and original Hall ticket. You are advised to check the documents listed above before bringing it in person for submission at the Regional Centre.

Please note that those candidates who received the Master’s Degree without the Bachelor degree are NOT ELIGIBLE for admission to IGNOU’s B.Ed. Programme. Please note that if you are not present on the date & time given in the address label given below, it will be presumed that you are NOT interested in accepting the offer/joining IGNOU B.Ed and hence this offer sent to you will be cancelled without further notice and the candidate next in the merit order will be considered for admission. No further correspondence in this regard will be entertained under any circumstances.

The Programme Study Centres (PSCs) are the centres from where you will be getting the academic support/counselling/workshop/submission of assignments etc. There will be six theory sessions for each of the courses in 1st and 2nd year. There will be two workshops of 12 days duration in the month of May, one each in 1st and 2nd year, both are compulsory. You will have to submit the prescribed assignments for each course at your Programme Study Centre. For the list of Programme Study Centres of B.Ed under Regional Centre, Trivandrum, please refer Annexure-5 –“List of Programme Study Centres under Trivandrum Region”. The allotment of PSC for you will be done as per your merit order position and the vacancies available at the time of your turn and in accordance with the reservation policy of the University (Government of India).
Please note that, a large number of candidates will be attending the counselling on the specified date and each individual will be called for counselling as per the merit order position only. Therefore, you will have to wait for your turn for counselling. In order to facilitate speedy scrutiny of documents, you are advised to be present at the Regional Centre, Trivandrum at least half an hour before the start of counselling as per the time slot specified in the address label.
Please note, that, this offer of admission is provisional and based on the information you have provided in the entrance examination form. If, at a later stage, it is found that the information provided and documents submitted by you is / are false, your admission shall stand cancelled forthwith and no fee refund will be admissible in the event of such cancellation of admission and the decision of the University is final.

In the event of your candidature not being considered for admission, this offer stands cancelled automatically and all the documents submitted by you will be retained by the University for records, except the Demand Draft. Therefore, you are requested to retain photocopies of all the documents to be submitted to this office.
The SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates who have marks above the level up to which general category students are admitted, should not be counted towards reserved quota at all and should be included in the general merit list of admissions.
