CENTRAL BOARED OF SECONDARY EDUCATION – ALL INDIA ENTRANCE EXAMINATION 2010 – NEW DELHI

Introduction: In compliance with the directive of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India,the Central Board Of Secondary Education,Delhi,would be conducting the All IndiaPre-Medical /Pre-DentalEntrance Examination, 2010. This entrance examination is being conducted exclusively for the 15% merit positions for the Medical/Dental Colleges of India as specified in the directive of the court and will be governed by the rules and regulations specified for the same by the Government of India,Ministry of Health and Family Welfare from time to time.

Eligibility: He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course and is an Indian National. The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical /Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes. The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination shall be limited to 3 (three) uniformly for all the candidates.
Reservation: Reservation will be made as per following details in 15% All India quota:
15% seats are reserved for SC candidates,
7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates,
27% seats are reserved for non-creamy layer OBC candidates in Central Educational Institutions only as per Hon’ble Supreme Court order dated 10.04.2008,
3% seats are reserved on horizantal basis for PH candidates. The reservation will be made as per 2200 point reservation roster.

Application Procedure: Applications are invited in the prescribed form for All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT) 2010 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi as per the following schedule for admission to 15% of the total seats for Medical/Dental Courses in all Medical/Dental Colleges run by the Union of India, State Governments, Municipal and other local authorities in India except in the States of ANDHRA PRADESH AND JAMMU & KASHMIR :-

1. Preliminary Examination – 3rd April, 2010 (Saturday)
2. Final Examination – 16th May, 2010 (Sunday)

Results Declaration: The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the AIPMT Preliminary and Final Examination, evaluate the Answer Sheets and declare the result as per following details:
(i) The result of Preliminary Examination will be declared by the IIIrd week of April, 2010 and the same will be hosted on Board’s website. Candidates qualified for the Final Examination would be issued a separate admit card indicating new roll number and other relevant details.

(ii) The result of Final Examination will be declared by 1st week of June, 2010 and the same will be hosted on Board’s website. Board will prepare the merit list/ wait list as per the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, DGHS and MCI.
