CBSE 2009 class 12 results online

India’s Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will today announce the results of the class 12 2009 standard exams for Delhi, Guwahati and Allahabad regions, ending a months-long wait by over half a million students.

More than 637,000 class 12 students sat the 2009 exams in March and today they will find out the results of their in-school and at home efforts and preparation.

According to the CBSE, 264,248 female students and 373,330 males sat the class 12 standard exams, both in India and abroad.

CBSE public relations officer, Rama Sharma, said the board will post the class 12 2009 result on the CBSE website (www.cbse.nic.in) at 10am today, Friday, May 22.

CBSE class 12 2009 students are also able to have their results emailed to them by registering their details at www.results.nic.in, or www.cbseresults.nic.in.

According to Mr Sharma, schools can also have the CBSE class 12 2009 results for all of their students emailed to them by registering on the same websites and entering their school code and e-mail address.

Individual Class 12 2009 results can also be checked on the www.mtnldelhi.in and www.bol.net.in websites, while various mobile phone service providers are able to deliver the results by short message service (SMS).

In addition, the CBSE will be offering the Class 12 2009 results through an Interactive Voice Response System on MTNL telephone number 011. 281.270.30.

For the 12th consecutive year the CBSE has established a telephone counseling service staffed by principals and trained counselor’s from CBSE-affiliated schools, psychologists and social scientists to assist class 12 students who become anxious or who feel stressed about the results.

The service, provided free of charge, will operate in four time zones within India. There is also free telephone counseling available for CBSE class 12 2009 students living in Doha-Qatar and Yemen.
