Ranchi: The Jharkhand government postponed Saturday's Class 10 and 12 board examination following a strike by Maoist guerrillas.
"We have postponed the examination. The Class 10 exam will now take place from March 14 and the Class 12 exam on March 19," Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) chairman Shaligram Yadav told sources.
The Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) called the strike in three states to protest against the arrest of four of its central committee leaders.
