Bhubaneswar: The National Institute of Science Education & Research (NISER) will conduct the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST), 2009 on May 10, 2009.
Students securing at least 60% (For Scheduled Cast (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates and for Persons with Disability (PD), the minimum requirement is 55%) marks in aggregate in Class XII or equivalent examination from any recognized Board in India are eligible to apply for the test.
Students who have passed the Class XII qualifying examination in 2007 or 2008 or are appearing in 2009 are also eligible to apply.

Aspiring students can download the application form for NEST examination on NEST website www.niser.ac.in/ NEST.
The application form can also be obtained by sending a demand draft of Rs.500/-(for general category and OBC male candidates) or 250/- (for SC/ST/PD candidates and female candidates) in favour of The Chief Coordinator, NEST-2009, National Institute of Science Education and Research, Institute of Physics Campus, Bhubaneswar - 751 005 by March 28, 2009.
The last date of submission of application form for NEST, 2009 is April 3, 2009.
