UPSC declares CDS II Examination Results

New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results of the Combined Defence Services (CDS)-II Examination, 2008.

The result has been declared on the basis of written examination conducted by the UPSC in September, 2008.

8276 candidates have been selected for being interviewed by the Service Selection Board (SSB) of the Ministry of Defence.

All these candidates have been selected for admission to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun; Naval Academy, Goa; Air Force Academy, Hyderabad and Officers' Training Academy (OTA), Chennai for men and Officers Training Academy (OTA) for women, Chennai, for 4th Short Service Commission (SSC) non-technical course.

CDS-II Examination Results 2008

All candidates are required to submit the original certificates in support of age, educational qualifications, NCC(C) (Army Wing/Senior Division Air Wing/Naval Wing) etc.

The original certificates are to be submitted within two weeks of completion of the SSB interview and not later than May 15, 2009.

In case of Short Service Commission (SSC), candidates can submit their documents by August 1, 2009.

An official from the UPSC said, "The Union Public Service Commission has a facilitation centre near the Examination Hall Building in its campus. Candidates may obtain any information/clarification regarding their examination on working days between 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM, in person or over telephone No. 011-23385271, 011-23381125 and 011-23098543 from this Centre".

The marks-sheet of candidates who have not qualified will be available on the commission's website within 30 days after declaration of the results.
