New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the result of the Combined Defence Services (CDS)-1 Examination, 2008.
The result has been declared on the basis of written examination and interviews conducted by the Service Selection Board (SSB) of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the 126th course of Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun; Naval Academy, Goa and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course i.e. (185th F (P) Course).

The numbers of vacancies, as intimated by the Government, is 250 for Indian Military Academy (including 32 vacancies reserved for NCC"C" certificate (Army Wing) holders), 40 for Naval Academy, Goa (including 10 vacancies reserved for NCC"C" certificate (Naval Wing) holders) and 32 for the Air Force Academy.
The results of the medical examination have not been taken into account in preparing the lists.
The result in respect of roll numbers 026650 and 008691 has been withheld by the UPSC. "Verification of date of birth and educational qualifications of these candidates is still under process by the Army Headquarters", the UPSC said.
"The candidature of all the candidates is therefore provisional on the score", it added.
Candidates have been requested to forward their original age/education qualification certificates, along with Photostat attested copies thereof to the Army / Naval / Air Headquarters, as per first choice.
The UPSC has a facilitation centre near the examination hall in its campus. Candidates may obtain any information regarding their examination on all working days between 10.00 am to 5.00 pm in person or over telephone nos. 011-23385271 / 011-23381125 / 011-23098543.
