Solapur (Maharashtra): A Power Training Institute will be setup in Solapur by the National Power Training Institute (NPTI) and NTPC Limited to provide professional training to the youth in the vicinity of NTPC-Solapur Thermal Power Station.
The foundation stone of the institute was laid down by Sushil Kumar Shinde, Union Minister of Power on December 27, 2008 in village Hotgi at Solapur.
Mr. Anil Razdan, Secretary (Power) presided over the function.
Mr. Rakesh Nath, Chairman - CEA; Mr. R.S. Sharma, CMD - NTPC; Dr. N.S. Saxena, Director General - NPTI and other dignitaries were present on the occasion
