Mass communication has emerged as a viable career option for a large number youngsters in the recent years and the competition to get a seat in the top 10 mass communication institutes in India is very high. But where are these best mass communication institutes that are attracting the talented ones?

In 2007, the Outlook (a weekly magazine) and Cfore (a market research firm) have conducted a survey to rank the top 10 mass communication institute in India.The survey results show that the best mass communication colleges are spread over various cities in India. To rank the colleges the Outlook - Cfore researchers asked the faculty and professionals to rank the institutes in a ten point scale against four parameters. These four parameters that they used were- faculty, pedagogic systems, infrastructure and placements. They then multiplied the average rating by the weightage in order to rank the top ten mass communication institutes in India.
