IGNOU to launch Appreciation Course on Environment

New Delhi: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced the introduction of an 'Appreciation Course on Environment' from January 2009.

The course, with multi-media inputs and developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Forests, aims at creating environmental consciousness among professionals like engineers, doctors, government officials, planers, academicians and all the citizens interested in the cause of environment.

The eligibility for admission to the programme is graduation from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.

The course is of three months duration and is available in both English and Hindi medium.

The prospectus and admission forms for the course can be obtained from the Registrar SR&D, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068 and from all the regional centres of IGNOU.

The last date of submission of the filled-in application forms is November 30, 2008
